Even though extreme sports have a reputation for causing injuries,  the most dangerous sports (by fatalities) surprised Team T-10, and will surprise you, too...

10.PARACHUTING - 19 Fatalities 


Parachuting, or skydiving, is a method of transiting from a high point to Earth with the aid of gravity, involving the control of speed during the descent with the use of a parachute or parachutes. It may involve more or less free-falling which is a period when the parachute has not yet been deployed and the body gradually accelerates to terminal velocit


9.CYCLING -20 Fatalities


Cycling, also called biking or bicycling, is the use of bicycles for transport, recreation, exercise or sport. People engaged in cycling are referred to as "cyclists","bikers",or less commonly, as "bicyclists".Apart from two-wheeled bicycles, "cycling" also includes the riding of unicycles, tricycles, quadracycles, recumbent and similar human-powered vehicles (HPVs).

8.SCUBA DIVING - 23 Fatalities 


Scuba diving is a mode of underwater diving where the diver uses a self-contained underwater breathing apparatus (scuba) which is completely independent of surface supply, to breathe underwater.Scuba divers carry their own source of breathing gas, usually compressed air, allowing them greater independence and freedom of movement than surface-supplied divers, and longer underwater endurance than breath-hold divers. 

7.HORSE RACING -24 FATALITIES

  Horse racing is an equestrian performance sport, typically involving two or more horses ridden by jockeys (or sometimes driven without riders) over a set distance for competition. It is one of the most ancient of all sports, as its basic premise – to identify which of two or more horses is the fastest over a set course or distance – has been unchanged since at least classical antiquity.

6. SKIING - 29 fatalities 


 Skiing can be a means of transport, a recreational activity or a competitive winter sport in which the participant uses skis to glide on snow. Many types of competitive skiing events are recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and the International Ski Federation (FIS). 

5.BOXING - 42 Fatalities

Boxing is a combat sport in which two people, usually wearing protective gloves, throw punches at each other for a predetermined amount of time in a boxing ring.

The first boxing Fatality happaned way back in 1897. Jimmy Barry knocked out Walter croot,  who died of a brain injury from the blow. 

4. Football- 45 Fatalities 

Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer,[a] is a team sport played with a spherical ball between two teams of eleven players. The object of the game is to score by moving the ball beyond the goal line into the opposing goal.

3. MOTORCYCLE RACING -99 Fatalities 

Motorcycle racing (also called moto racing and motorbike racing) is the motorcycle sport of racing motorcycles. Major genres include motorcycle road racing and off-road racing, both either on circuits or open courses, and track racing. Other categories include hill climbs, drag racing and land speed record trials.

2. MOUNTAINEERING - 121 Fatalities 

Mountaineering is the set of activities that involves ascending mountains. Mountaineering-related activities include traditional outdoor climbing, hiking, skiing, and traversing via ferratas.Indoor climbing, sport climbing and bouldering are usually considered mountaineering as well.

.Auto racing has existed since the invention of the automobile. Races of various sorts were organised, with the first recorded as early as 1867. Many of the earliest events were effectively reliability trials, aimed at proving these new machines were a practical mode of transport, but soon became an important way for competing makers to demonstrate their machines. By the 1930s, specialist racing cars had developed.
